Tom Daley won the Silver medal and Pete Waterfield took Bronze in the 10m platform diving at the platform diving at the Fina Diving World Series in Sheffield, England.
Daley took the early lead with a high scoring first dive, but China’s World Champion Huo Liang went to the top of the leaderboard with a great performance in his third dive (an armstand back triple somersault) whilst Daley slipped into second place having over-rotated on his inward three-and-a-half somersaults dive.
In the fourth round, Waterfield moved into second place with the back three-and-a-half somersaults.
Daley fought his way back into the silver medal position, producing hardly a ripple in the water on his fifth round dive, the back three-and-a-half somersaults.
Liang claimed the gold medal, while Daley won Silver just ahead of team-mate Waterfield. Cuba’s Jeinkler Aguirre finished in fourth.

Daley and Aldridge win World Series Gold
Tom Daley and Blake Aldridge won a Gold medal in the 10m synchronised platform diving at the Fina Diving World Series in Sheffield, England.
Thomas Finchum and David Alasdair Boudia of the United States won the Silver, while Cubans Jose Guerra and Eric Fornaris took Bronze. Konstantin Khanbekov and Oleg Vikulov of Russia had been in medal contention they were given a failure for an incomplete dive.
Athens 2004 Olympic silver medallists duo Peter Waterfield and Leon Taylor did not compete as Taylor (who is Daleys mentor) is recovering from injury. They will hope to contest an eliminator at the Olympic trials in Leeds on 21-22 June. But Daley and Aldridge must now be favourites to take the Olympic place.

Two Women achieve Olympic Qualification
Britain has two women in the top four at the Triathlon World Cup in Madrid, Spain.
Helen Tucker finished second with Hollie Avil (fourth). Both women achieved the Olympic triathlon qualification criteria.
The podium race was decided on the second (bike ride) stage when the four leaders created a 2min 35 lead. The Portugese reigning world champion, Vanessa Fernandes, was first away into the run leaving Tucker, Avila and Daniela Ryf, of Switzerland, to contest the minor places

Heather Fell wins World Cup Bronze
Britain’s Heather Fell won Bronze in the fifth round of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup in Kladno, Czech Republic. Mhairi Spence finished fourth on 5644 points, with Team GB’s Athens 2004 bronze medallist, Georgina Haarland, sixth on 5600 points.

Richard Faulds wins World Cup Silver
Richard Faulds won the Silver Medal in the Men's Double Trap at the at the World Cup in Kerrville, Texas.
Hakan Dahlby of Sweden won the Double Trap Final with 190 hits. 2000 Olympic Champion Faulds won Silver against American Jeffrey Holguin, 14-13 in a shoot-off, after both finished second with a score of 189.
Britain's other Olympi hopeful, Steve Scott, was ninth.

David Davies wins Silver in Open Water
David Davies won the silver medal in the Open Water event at the World Championships in Seville, Spain.
Vladimir Dyatchin of Russia won the gold medal in a time of 1:53:21.0. Davies won silver and Olympic qualification in a time of 1:53:21.3. The bronze was won Thomas Lurz of Germany in 1:53:27.2.
