Demanding Medal Target for Team GB
Team GB managed to win 30 medals in Athens, but the target for Beijing is a demanding 41 medals. Where might those medals come from? Each Sport has it's own target, here's my thoughts on who might reach the podium and help their Sports reach the target and secure their funding for the next Olympic cycle.

S-T's schedule
If you want to play the "can you spot the S-T's" game. Then listed below is the places where we might be spotted. We enjoyed receiving texts from friends when we were in Athens, so why not leave a message here if you spot us?
As you can see we, are at something every day, but the best liklihood of us appearing on the screen is the smaller event where there is a strong British medal chance. Last time it was the Cycling and the Eventing that set the phones buzzing!
Times given in the table below are UK times.

No tickets for Closing Ceremony!
The final day completes with the Closing Ceremony, but not before the final twelve medals have been awarded.
Unfortunately, we couldn't get tickets to the Closing Ceremony, so will probably be watching it on television in a bar somewhere in Beijing! We will be looking to pick up the trail of Athletics Men's Men's Marathon, the very last event of the Beijing Olympic Games.
The British Boxing team has high hopes for World Champion Frankie Gavin in the Lightweight (-60kg) division. Super Heavyweight (+91kg) David Price is another who could be competing for Gold.

Sprint Relay Finals in Olympic Stadium
Twenty-two medals are available on Day Fourteen. We will be watching the Athletics events in the evening where we hope to see a good performance from the sprint relay teams.
The Men's Athletics sprint relay team will be hoping to repeat their Athens Gold Medal performance, but only Marlon Devonish remains from that squad. He will be joined by Harry Aikines-Aryeety, Tyrone Edgar , Craig Pickering & Simeon Williamsn and Rikki Fifton in Beijing.
Tim Brabants has a good chance of a medal in the Men's K1 Canoe 1000m to add to the Bronze Medal that he got in Sydney 2000.
Georgina Harland won the women's Modern Pentathlon bronze medal at Athens 2004. Katy Livingston and Heather Fell are the competitors this time.
The Women's Hockey Team could also be in medal contention.

Philips goes for Triple Jump Gold
Twenty-one medals are available on Day 13. We are heading off to the Olympic Stadium as the Athletics events build to their climax. Today is probably Britain's best chance of a Gold Medal with Phillips Idowu in the Triple Jump. Elsewhere the team events are approaching completion.
The Olympic Stadium is likely to be a focus for British Athletics support, with Goldie Sayers in the Women's Javelin Throw and Nathan Douglas and Phillips Idowu in the Men's Triple Jump.
Shanaze Reade has been Women's BMX Cycling World Champion for the last two years. David Davies is amongst the favourites in the Men's Open Water Swimming
