Women's 4 x 400m team win Bronze

Women's 4 x 400 BronzeAthleticsBritains women's 4 x 400m squad won the bronze medal at the Athletics World Championships in Osaka, Japan.

The team of Christine Ohuruogu, Marilyn Okoro, Lee McConnell and Nicola Sanders finished third in a new national record time of three minutes, 20.04 seconds to finish behind United States and Jamaica and just ahead of Russia.

In the Men's 5000m, Mo Farah achieved a creditable sixth place finish in his first ever World Championships.

The Men's 4 x 400m team of Andrew Steele, Rob Tobin, Richard Buck and Martyn Rooney finished sixth after being balked by falling runners at the third changeover.

Day 15The Men's 4 x 400m relays takes place on the 23rd August.
