

Christina Bassadone and Saskia Clark clinched bronze in the 470 women’s event at the
World Sailing Championships, in Cascais, Portugal, by winning the 'medal race'.
This is the pairs second World medal having won silver at San Francisco in 2005.

Thirteen countries (Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Japan, Sweden, Italy, Brazil, Israel, USA, Slovenia, Germany, New Zealand and Australia ) qualified to participate in the 2008 Olympics in Qingdao, China. The five remaining slots will be determined at the
2008 470 Class World Championship in Melbourne Australia (21-28, January 2008).
The medal round of the Women's 470 class at the Olympics takes place on 18th August.
