At Athens 2004, we lined the route of marathon in the hope of seeing the British medal favourite, Paula Radcliffe, run pass on her way to Gold. But it didn't happen and Radcliffe withdrew less than half a mile before she reached the point where we were standing. Radcliffe was supposed to be Britain's best chance of a Gold medal in Athletics so we were very disappointed as we moved on to our next event.Form
Paula Radcliffe, recovered from the emmense disappointment of her Olympic experience to win Britains only Gold medal at the Athletics World Championships at Helsinki 2005. Mo Farah was the surprise winner of a Silver medal at the European Championships at Gothenburg 2006.

As with other the athletics, qualification times for Beijing 2008 have not yet been determined.
What to watch
We will again look to find a spot on the marathon route to see the runner's come past. Despite the disppointment of Paula Radcliffes withdrawl last time, it was still a great experience. It is unlikely that we will particularly target other longer distance events but macy see some dependant on what other events are occuring in the stadium that day.
