Hurdles

In 2006, Andy Turner was the only British athlete to win a medal at both the Commonwealth Games and the European Championship.

In September 2006, it as announced that Colin Jackson (winner of win 25 major medals in the 110m hurdles) has taken over as coach to Rhys Williams. Williams won his first major medal at Gothenburg and will be hoping to profit from the experience of his outspoken coach.

Qualification

As yet, the qualification standards have not been decided for Beijing, but all three athletes on the World Class Podium programme should qualify, but, on current form, are probably unlikely to feature amongst the medals.

What to watch

We'll be at the Olympic stadium for some of the athletics, but whether we see the hurdles events will depend on what other events occur on a specific day.
