The Great Britain Men's hockey team beat India 2-0 in the Final Match at the Olympic Qualifying Competition in Santiago, Chile.Great Britain had qualified for the final with five victories in the pool matches, including a last minutes 3-2 score against India.
In the final, Britain scored twice inside the first ten minutes through Barry Middleton and a Richard Mantell short corner. India exerted considerable pressure at times but the team defended resolutely to earn their place in the Beijing tournament.
The Olympic Men's Hockey Final takes place on 23rd August 2008.
