Flyweight Khalid Yafai qualifys for Beijing

Flyweight (51 kg), Khalid Yafai won a Silver medal at the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Pescara, Italy.

Yafai withdrew from the final against Hungarian Norbert Kalucza having secured qualification for Beijing.

Yafai advanced to the final with victories over Nasir of Wales (Retired Round 3) and Igor Samoilenco of Moldova (13:11).

The finals of the Flyweight division take place on the 23rd August 2008.
