Great Britain won the Gold medal in the team event at the European Eventing Championships in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy.The German team has taken a slender lead over the Great Britain after the first, dressage, phase, but Great Britain had three clear rounds on the cross-country to go into the final show jumping phase with a clear lead. The team of Zara Phillips, Mary King, Daisy Dick and Oliver Townend secured Britain's seventh successive European team gold medal
The Equestrian Eventing competition completes on the 12th August in Hong Kong.
