Shanaze Reade returned to her more normal cycling discipline this weekend, BMX, and beat her competition convincingly in the Elite Women's final at the BMX World Championships in Victoria, Canada.Shanaze cruised through her three qualifying motos, the quarter final and then the semi final, before going on to win the final and with it the Elite world title in her first year as a senior rider.
The World Title win has extra significance of course as it comes a year until Beijing where BMX makes its Olympics debut.The BMX finals take place on 21st August 2008.
