Women's Basketball for us on Day 1

We saw some of the Judo competition in AthensOur first ticketed event of the games is Women's Basketball. We have tickets to see Czech Republic vs. USA and Latvia vs. Russia.

Earlier in the day we may try to catch some of the Men's Road Race Cycling as the riders make their way around the streets of Beijing. The course starts near the Forbidden City and heads to the Great Wall of China passing Tiananmen Square.

7 medals are available in five sports on the first day with 12 other sports beginning competition.

JudoBritain’s best hope for a medal on the first day is probably in Judo through Craig Fallon in the Men's -60kg class.
