A further 28 medals are on offer on the 16th August, as the first week of competition comes to a close. Rowing and Athletics are the place to be on Day 8 for GB supporters and we will be! The Men's 100m sprint is the last Athletics event of the day in the Olympic Stadium. The competition to decide the 'Worlds fastest Man' is always a spectacle.

In the first of two days of finals at the Rowing, the Men's Four of Tom James, Steve Williams , Peter Reed and Andy Triggs Hodge should be amongst the medal contenders as should Elise Laverick and Anna Bebington in the Women's Double scull. On the track at the Velodrome, there should be two Athens 2004 Gold medallists competing, Bradley Wiggins in the Individual Pursuit and Chris Hoy in the Keirin. In the Olympic Stadium, Kelly Sotherton will be finishing her second day in the Heptathlon.
In Qingdao at the Olympic Sailing Centre, Double Gold medallist, Ben Ainslie will be a favourite for the Gold in the Finn Class and the British team of Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson in the Yngling class will also be one to watch.
