Handball and Beach Volleyball Preliminaries for Day 3

13 medals are available in eight sports on the third day. With the Canoeing competition starting there are a total of ninteen different sports taking place.

We have tickets to see the Women's Handball, a sport we've only ever seen on television before. The games are Bulgaria vs China and Kazakhstan vs France. In the eveming we have tickets to see the Beach Volleyball. In Athens, we kept meeting people who told us about it, so we decided to give it a go this time. We are scheduled to see four women's and two men's preliminary games.

DivingArcheryShootingTom Daley and Blake Aldridge compete in the Men's Diving Synchronised Platform, an event where Britain claimed a Silver in Athens. The Men's Archery Team of Larry Godfrey, Simon Terry
and Alan Wills should be in contention for a medal. Commonwealth Champion Charlotte Kerwoodmay be a contender in the Women's Trap Shooting.
