The British team won Team Sprint Bronze at the Olympic Test Event in BeijingChris Hoy, Craig MacLean and Jason Queally finished third fastest in qualifying to set up a Bronze medal clash against Australia.
Craig MacLean got the British off to a flying start to lead after the opening lap. The team extended their lead through the second lap, but the Aussies came back at them on the final lap. The Britsh squad held on by the skin of their teeth to win the the race by just over a tenth of a second.
The Gold medal went to the Netherlands who beat France in the final.
The Men's Team Sprint takes place on 15th August 2008.
