Tickets on sale - sort of

The official ticketing website for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games has opened. The site give comprehensive information regarding session contents and ticket pricing, but don't bother going there to buy tickets unless you live in China. For Athens, we were able to buy tickets direct from the organising committee. Unfortunately, that is not the case for Beijing, and so the chances of getting the tickets that we want, without having to deal with unofficial ticket agents and incurring the heavy cost that entails, would seem to be greatly reduced.

The official agent for British olympic fans is Sportsworld, and other official agents for other countries, such as CoSport, will not deal with you.

Sportsworld require a priority registration fee of £200 per person, to be able to make bookings from the end of May 2007. Listed below are some countries and details of the official ticketing agent.
