One of the things that we found difficult during our trip to Athens 2004, was the lack of information concerning what was happening at the other venues. Each day there was an Olympic Programme, but there was no form of results service and the volunteers on the helpdesks were not able to offer any assistance.
Our best source of information was if we going to the city centre or the airport we were able to get The previous day's english newspaper, or if we were in the car or back at the campsite we could pick up a couple of hours of BBC World Service on the radio.
The announcement of information services for Olympic spectators, leads me to hope that things will be a little better in Beijing.
