

Last weekend was Great Britain's best ever performance at the
European Indoor Athletics Championships. The team won ten medals (4 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze) to finish top of the medal table. Highlights included,
Jason Gardner winning Gold in the 60m sprint for the fourth
consecutive time. Craig Pickering won Silver in the same event.
Philips Idowu won Gold in the Triple Jump with team-mate Nathan Douglas claiming Silver.
Nicola Sanders won Gold in the 400m .
Kelly Sotherton won Silver in the Pentathlon. In the final event of the competition the
men's 4 x 400m relay team won Gold after the German team were disqualified.
