An injuryto pentathlete Jessica Ennis will prevent her Olympic particpatation. Compatriat Kelly Sotherton, the Athens 2004 bronze medallist will be one of the favourites for the Pentathlon following the withdrawl of Athhens 2004 gold medallist, Carolina Kluft of Sweden.
The Women's Pentathlon takes place on the 15th and 16th August.
